Founded in 2003, The Access Man today develops and supports Microsoft Access databases for a wide range of clients from small business through to large multi-national companies and public sector organisations across a range of industries.

The Access Man was started by Julian Baker who has a passion for solving business problems with Microsoft Access and over 14 years experience building Microsoft Access Solutions.

Julian takes pride in delivering powerful, easy to use and elegant Microsoft Access business solutions, working closely with clients to understand their requirements and needs.

Based in Bristol our client base covers the whole of the UK including Scotland. We have a lot of customers in and around London and a small number overseas.

Prior to starting The Access Man, Julian worked as a consultant, project manager and software development manager within the legal sector and has a special interest in working with law firms and legal service providers who are looking for database or workflow solutions.

We have tried and tested relationships with business partners who we can call upon if needed for larger scale projects or where additional expertise is required.

About Microsoft Access

Access was introduced by Microsoft in the early 1990s and has been available as a stand-alone application or as part of the Microsoft Office Suite ever since. It has gone through various different versions (the latest is Microsoft Access 2007 and there is another version due out next year) and is now the leading desktop database product in the market place.

Many firms are already licensed to use Microsoft Access as a result of purchasing the full Office suite or via a bulk licensing agreement with Microsoft. In many cases Microsoft Access is installed on users machines along with Word, Excel and Outlook etc., yet few take full advantage of the potential it offers.

Microsoft Access is a very powerful and sophisticated database solution rarely used to full potential.

It is capable of supporting small to medium sized groups of users with demanding data processing and application requirements. Integration with the other MS Office products and with other core business applications offers the ability to transform business processes.
