A family-run manufacturer relied on an Access application developed over approximately 20 years, containing more than 100,000 lines of VBA. With the original developer gone, the system had become increasingly difficult to support.
I took over the application, consolidated multiple Access back-ends into SQL Server, removed obsolete components and adapted the system for modern 64-bit Office.

Wesleyan was using multiple linked spreadsheets to manage cross-selling opportunities, resulting in poor data quality, limited validation and difficult management reporting.
The new Access system improved validation, routed opportunities to the appropriate people, generated emails and appointments, and gave management much better visibility of the process.

For aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, an existing database formed the basis of a new loan-management system designed to show managers exactly where precision tools were located.
The system made it easy to identify items currently on loan, when they were due back and which items were overdue.

For Bainbridges, an ageing and increasingly difficult-to-manage FoxPro auction system was migrated to Microsoft Access.
The replacement also introduced SMS functionality, allowing the auction house to notify successful bidders automatically.

Tonic Cosmetic Surgery needed its existing Access database to be available to users working from different locations. The system was upgraded to provide cloud-based access, while SMS functionality was added for appointment reminders.
